Our mission
LicenseUp opens pathways to stable, family‑supporting careers in the insurance industry for people who face financial or informational barriers. We provide the one‑on‑one guidance needed to earn licenses, pass certification exams, and begin meaningful work in insurance.
What we do
- Financial support: We cover the costs of pre‑licensing courses, exam fees, and application expenses so candidates can pursue licensing without upfront financial strain.
- Guided coaching: Every applicant receives step‑by‑step coaching, study plans, practice questions, test‑taking strategies, and encouragement from a dedicated mentor.
- Placement support: After licensure, we connect graduates with entry‑level roles, internships, and industry partners to help launch their careers.
- Volunteer and employer partnerships: We recruit licensed professionals to mentor newcomers and work with employers who hire program graduates and offer on‑the‑job training.
Who we serve
We assist motivated adults who lack the funds or guidance to navigate the licensing process on their own. Our program is open to career changers, veterans, parents reentering the workforce, and anyone seeking a reliable career path with upward mobility.
Why it matters
Insurance careers provide steady income, professional growth, and opportunities in sales, customer service, underwriting, and claims. By removing financial obstacles and providing personalized support, LicenseUp helps individuals build long‑term economic stability while strengthening local businesses and communities.
Our credibility

Get involved
Earning an insurance license requires more than paying for a course and a test. It is an investment made in the face of uncertainty. For many Americans, the up‑front costs are substantial relative to household budgets, and the job market they enter is often dominated by commission‑only, independent contractor positions that offer little financial stability, no benefits, and minimal onboarding. Without paid training, steady income during the learning curve, and hands‑on mentorship, newly licensed candidates face a high risk that their investment will not translate into a stable career. LicenseUp exists to bridge that gap, reducing the financial barrier while pairing candidates with the mentorship and employer connections they need to turn a license into a reliable pathway to economic mobility.
